My Sunday Routine

Hello beautiful people. So like many people, unless on the rare occasion I am in work, Sunday is my day of rest. I sleep in, treat myself to a cooked breakfast and watch a lot of TV. Unless I have something that needs to be done I never get dressed and I lounge around in my PJ's. Once my lazy, morning is over the hard work begins when I start to prep myself for the week ahead. I use the afternoon to pamper my self, give myself a little facial, have a nice relaxing bath and just enjoy my own company.

Today for my facial I am going to quickly exfoliate my face with the Clearasil ultra rapid action pads, I'm then going to apply a Face Food sauna mask and once I'm done with that I will use my Beauty Formulas deep cleansing nose pore strips.

Now for my bath. So as you may or may not know I am a big fan of Lush bath products, whether it be bath bombs, melts or bubble bars, I love them all. One of my all time favs are the candy mountain bubble  bars that come in stores around Christmas time and lucky for me I received a couple as gifts and still have one left to use. Once I'm out of the bath I moistures with a Soap and Glory body butter to make my skin lovely and soft.  There is nothing like getting a long hot bath to relax on a Sunday afternoon, putting clean pair of PJ's and snuggling up in bed to watch a few films on the telly.

So what do you get up to on your Sunday's? Let me know in the comments.

Much Love Toni xoxo

Valentines With Mr Grey

So what better way to spend my valentines day than to go and watch the new 50 Shades Of Grey movie. I have read the books and I'm not ashamed to say I loved them. When I heard about a film being released I knew I would have to see it, to see if it did the book justice. Now that I have seen it I can tell you all that I loved it. There were a few parts of the book that I think, if they where to have been put in to the film they would have made it slightly better, but as it is, I think the creators did an amazing job. As a whole I think that it was a great movie, if you are a fan of the books then this is a must see for you and if you haven't read the books then you should still go and see it.

Are you a Christian Grey fan like me?

HP Stream 11

Hello beautiful people, so today I decided to treat myself to a new laptop, yay. As you can see from the title it is the HP stream 11 and I think I am in love. Recently I have been using my Kindle fire HD to write my blog posts, and it was fine but I needed something with a key board to make the job a bit easier. I'm not really a computer lover so I didn't need a big flashy laptop with all the extras you can get on them, but when I saw the HP stream being advertised on the TV I new it was the one for me.
This laptop(technically a notebook) was just £179, which is an absolute bargain, it comes with windows 8, 1 year free Microsoft office software and a voucher for the windows store(what more could you ask for). For me this is perfect because it gets the job done, it also helps that it is pink haha.

I am so excited with my new purchase and can't wait for all the new posts I'm going to write with it. Sorry this wasn't the longest post ever but I just wanted to update you with my new blogging technology.
See you soon with a new post.

Book review-The Year I Met You by Cecelia Ahern

Hello beautiful people, so today I have decided to do something a bit different and write a book review. In the past I have mentioned my love for books (here) but for some reason I have never wrote a review of one, but who knows, if this one gets a good response it maybe the first of many. The book I'm going to review for you is called "The Year I Met You" and it was written by Cecelia Ahern (also wrote the bestseller P.S. I Love You).

Blurb (the bit on the back)

Jasmine loves two things: her sister and her works. And when her work is taken away she has no idea who she is.
Matt loves two things: his family- and the booze. Without them, he hits rock bottom.
One new years eve, two people's paths collide. Both have time on their hands; both are at a crossroads. But as the year unfolds, through moonlit nights and suburban days, an unlikely friendship slowly starts to blossom.

Review

All Cecilia Ahern' s novel have one thing in common, they all have a sad or depressing beginning. The Year I Met You, is no different with the beginning set at the funeral of Jasmine' s grandfather, when she was just 5 years old. This was a time that changed her life. "Why do I bring up this episode in my life? Well, it's where I began. Where me, as I know me, as everybody else knows me, was formed. My life began at five years old." This was the day that she learnt she was going to die. It taught her to live every moment in the here and now, if you need to do something, then do it.
This is where the story begins. Jasmine is a successful business women who love's to work, but when she is fired and forced to take 1 year gardening leave(still on the payroll and unable to work for another company) her life starts to fall apart. She is not the type of person to relax, to take a break. After the first few weeks of catching up with old friends Jasmine soon ran out of things to fill her day.

It also didn't help that she was being kept up at night by her neighbour Matt who lived directly opposite Jasmine. Matt is a successful radio presenter who comes home each night drunk, music blasting in his car and shouting at his wife to let him in the house. After a drunken New year's eve show he is also given temporary leave from work, his wife and children move out of the family home and a few chapters later Jasmine ends up with his spare door key. Suddenly she is forced to talk to the man she has hated since she was in university and listened to a show he presented about down syndrome, a topic she is sensitive about as her older sister has it and Jasmine loves her more than anything.

When I was reading this book I fell in love with the character. When I put the book down I found myself wondering what happens next and couldn't resist reading the next chapter. I found the conversation between the two in their nightly discussion to be believable and really enjoyed watching (is that the right word when your reading?)the growth of the characters, how they started to enjoy the simple things in life like gardening. I also loved how involve I felt when other characters from Jasmine' s family started to be introduced like her sister.

Out of all Cecilia Ahern' s books I can't say that this is my favourite because that would be a lie, but it is up there. I loved reading this book and was honestly upsets when I finished it. I highly recommend that if you want a book to read then you should try this one. It's so interesting and thought provoking. It a "will this happen?" "Don't do that!" "What will they do?" type of book where you are constantly guessing about what will be in the next chapter.

I give this book 4 out of 5 and it only dropped a star because it didn't beat my favourite Cecilia Ahern book, but I loved it and you will too.

So have you read this book or are there any other books you would recommend for me to read? Let me know in the comments.

Much love Toni xoxo

Kardashian Beauty

Hello beautiful people, so around September we got ourselves a Kardashian beauty makeup pop up shop here in Liverpool and I was so excited. I love all things Kardashian and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of their product's. Now that was 5 months ago and the time has come for the pop up shop to close its doors, which to be honest I am a bit sad about. Being the optimist that I am, I try to see the good side in everything and in this case the good thing is a 50% discount sale, yay! As well as having a 50% sale they also had some set's made up that you could buy with even more money knocked off and I just couldn't resist treating myself.

The first thing in my box of goodies was my Khloe' s kardazzle face pallet. In this pallet you get 8 gorgeous eyeshadows and then in a little pull out draw you get 3 cheek blush/highlighters. The size of this pallet is just perfect, you could easily put it in your bag before you go out and not even notice its in there.

The next things in my box were a pair of eyelashes called Glimmer. Now I'm not a big lover of lashes but I can't wait to try this pair. I also got a Joystick lip lacquer in the shade "rose parade" and it is the most beautiful shade of red I have ever seen. It is so easy to use because it is like a thick lip pencil that winds up, similar to a regular lipstick. And F.Y.I it tastes amazing!

Next are two nail varnish, one in the shade perfection perfection 860 which is a lovely pink peach and the other is shade gleaming etincelant 827, it's like a bronze copper sort of colour. Got to say I am in love with these nail varnish because they go on so even and if you want to be quick you can get away with just one coat, what more can you ask for?

This last one didn't actually come in the set but I bought it anyway because at £5.99 it was a steal. It is The Quicky lengthening and thickening mascara. I must admit that I have used this mascara before and still have one that I am using at the minute, but because the price was so good I had to get another to put away for when I run out. If you try any of the Kardashian beauty products I really recommend you try this as it is amazing. It dose as it says on the package, is great when your in a rush and need to just throw some mascara on your lashes and still has them looking fab!

What did it cost me for all this makeup? Well including the price of the mascara it came to the grand total of £25.99! Can you say bargain?  So if you find yourself in Liverpool in the next few weeks you need to visit the Kardashian beauty store, I know I'll be going again before they close to get my hands on a few more goodies.

Have you tried any of the product's I've mentioned in my post? Or are there any others you think I should try?  Let me know in the comments.

Much love Toni xoxo

Makeup tips every girl should know

We all wear makeup, whether it be for a special occasion or on an everyday basis like me and it can be such a hassle , particularly if you don't know what you should use. I have decided today to make a list of some makeup "tips and tricks" that will hopefully help anyone who needs it and make putting your makeup on fun again, rather than the thing you dread doing before you go out.

  1. Put your eyeshadow on first- It is the worst thing ever when you have put your foundation on and specks of eyeshadow fall. You are torn between leaving the specks under your eyes or wiping off some of your foundation. But why make the decision, if you do your eyeshadow first you can wipe away any fall down without worrying about having patchy foundation. Problem solved!
  2. Always put a loose/pressed powder on top of your foundation- No one likes having a shiny face, especially when your going on a night out or working all day. Too many people forget this step when putting on makeup, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Putting power on sets all your makeup and helps it stay on so at the end of the day/night your face doesn't look like a greasy patchy mess.
  3. Don't skip the primer- Firstly primer is not, I repeat NOT a moisturiser. Primer is like a glue for your makeup, it smooths out your skin and can also stop your face shining. So it is a must if you don't want your face to come off.
  4. Don't sleep with your makeup on- This is probably the most important tip I can give you. I can already hear some of you gasp at the thought of this, but yes, some people still sleep with a full face of makeup on. This is so bad for your skin because it blocks your pores. Your skin won't be able to breathe and you will break out in spots. So please keep a packet of makeup removal wipes close to your bed in case of any late nights.

I really hope this post helped you and if you have any tips of your own I would love to hear about them in the comments.

Much love Toni xoxo
